This 1991 Kawasaki X2 is where sit-down jet skis started—
and this one’s barely hanging on.
Stick around… we’re just getting started.
Before today’s big, comfortable machines, this thing changed the game. The Kawasaki X2 was one of the first to let riders sit instead of stand, making jet skiing way more accessible—and way more fun for a lot of people. This one? It’s lived a life. Sun-faded plastics, worn-out internals, and more than a few “what happened here?” moments. You can tell it’s been ridden hard and then forgotten.
Fun fact: These early X2s were powered by a small 2-stroke engine that’s simple, loud, and surprisingly tough—if you treat it right. Most didn’t survive this long… and definitely not in this condition. Another thing—these hulls are known for being super playful on the water. Lightweight, and a blast to ride… when they’re actually running.
Right now, though? It’s more “floating relic” than watercraft. But not for long.
Stick around
